There are many different ways for successful practice promotion but they all require an investment either in time, dollars, or both. The first thing to consider when starting a practice is whether the promotion will be for the provider or for a more generic practice. One of the main factors in his decision is what may happen to the practice when the practitioner leaves. In some instances, this will be determined by state law&#8217;s which may limit the continued use of the practitioner&#8217;s name after he has left the practice or it may be limited by the desired to have a more generic name for promotion sake.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The best approach to practice promotion and development is a combination of strategies. Paid advertising, meeting attendance, community involvement, hospital involvement, community service, and media appearances can all help to build the notoriety of a practice. Developing a strategy will depend not only upon financial means but also the starting point of practice promotion. In some cases the goal may be to continue the current notoriety of the practice while in others it may be to promote the practice from the ground up.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Practice promotion, unlike other marketing realms, may be governed by a unique set of laws. For instance, professionals are often prohibited by state law from advertising testimonials which are a common practice in most marketing schemes. <p>Here I am saying that you are only as good as your team is just meaning that your team is an integral part of your overall practice success. Now some of you may disagree with me and that is absolutely fine. But what I want from you is to go ahead and read to this particular then give the verdict.</p>
<p>Being a doctor we believe that what we do as a doctor is the only important thing from the patient&#8217;s point of view. Which means that the kind of treatment you give; the kind of results or the cure your patients received from your treatment is the only thing which is important and nothing else.</p>
<p>We don&#8217;t want to pay attention to any other things and in my opinion that is the biggest mistake. Of course patients are coming to you only because you specialize in certain things and you can cure them. That thing is understood. That thing is there and that&#8217;s why patients are coming to you. If that thing is not there, then patients frankly won&#8217;t come to you at all.</p>
<p>They will go to the doctor who assures them of that thing. So that is out of question and I want from you is you also keep that thing out of your mind. It is a must. That is a fundamental thing. We can not argue on that thing. We can not say that because of that or lack of that or anything in that relation.<span id="more-94"></span></p>
<p>You are a doctor and you can treat your patients for the diseases in which you are specialized and that is the established fact. What we are discussing here is the additional things &#8211; the value addition. Other things apart from what you are doing for your patients in addition to treating them, in addition to prescribing them, in addition to performing procedures on them, in addition to operating them. These other things are very important.</p>
<p>We are here to discuss about your team members. So at whatever level you are performing you are doing your work. That is either complimented by your staff or your team members or it is not. Means the things are either reinforced by your staff members or They are not.</p>
<p>Suppose you are very polite while talking with your patients. Your staff is pretty rude while talking with them or while communicating with them. Then it frankly does not matter how you behave with them. Because they are going to have the impression that your practice is not good or the people at your practice are not good.</p>
<p>They are not going to think that how polite you are. They are going to remember how rude your staff members are. That is going to hurt your practice much more than you realize today. So remember that this program is geared towards the most integral part of your practice. I always believe that your team members are as important as you. Of course they are not going to treat them or do operation or cure the patients. But they can do so many other things which you can never do or which never think of doing.</p>
<p>That&#8217;s why your team members, staff members are so important and remember that they are an integral part of your whole practice. You can not say that ok my practice is good; but one of my staff members is not good. Or one aspect of my practice is good enough. That doesn&#8217;t work or that basically is not accepted.</p>
